The collaborators of the Department organized numerous symposia, conferences, seminars, national and international congresses, dedicated to infectious psychoses (1960), schizophrenia (1967), clinical picture, pathogenesis and treatment of alcoholism (1977), alcoholic psychoses, encephalopathy and myelopathy (1979), aggression (1991, 1993). In recent years, the emphasis has been laid on organizing Moldovan-French scientific seminars with the participation of members of the Institute of Psychoanalysis in Paris and scientific-practical conferences with the participation of York College collaborators of the City University of New York, the USA.

  • Year 2009

    In 2009, the departments have been merged, professor Anatol Nacu, author of 120 scientific papers, a monograph and two textbooks, being appointed head of the department. O. Cobîleanschi, G. Cărăuşu, I. Coşciug, I. Deliv, I. Nastas, C. Babin are also part of the staff of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology Department.

  • Year 1984

    Between 1984-2000, the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology was led by Prof. N. Oprea, author of 180 papers, 3 monographs and 2 textbooks.

    In 1984, the Department of Refresher Medical Training was founded, fronted by professor Alexandru Nacu, and from 2000 to 2009 - by professor M. Revenco. During that period, the following professors worked at the Department: V. Chiriac, B. Gherman, M. Hotineanu, V. Oprea, M. Condraţchi.

  • Year 1966

    Since 1966, the position of head of department had been held by professor Alexandru Nacu, knight of the Order of the Republic, author of 270 papers, 8 monographs and 2 textbooks. During the same period, specialists N. Oprea, A. Pleşco, B. Zlatan, M. Revenco, and V. Mihlin worked at the Department.

     

  • Year 1945

    The Department of Psychiatry was set up in 1945 by professor A. Molochov, Scientist Emeritus, author of over 80 papers and 5 monographs.

    The first collaborators of the Department were B. Morozov, V. Lukianin, V. Ivanova, and L. Tulubieva. Professor Iu. Rahalski, later head of the Department of Psychiatry in Orenburg, Russia, professor Ia. Popeleanski, subsequently Head of the Department of Psychiatry in Lugansk, Ukraine, professor A. Kornetov, afterwards Head of the Department of Psychiatry in Simferopol, Ukraine, and professor G. Obukhov from Belarus also worked at the Department.
